Robert Kralovics, PhD, is a Principal Investigator at the Centre for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna and a Visiting Professor at the Medical University of Vienna. Dr. Kralovics authored 47 papers in peer-reviewed journals. His major achievements so far are the elucidation of the genetic basis of myeloid malignancies, most notably the discoveries on the role of the JAK2 gene in the pathogenesis of myeloproliferative neoplasms. He pioneered the use of whole-genome analysis approaches in studies of both familial and sporadic myeloproliferative neoplasms. He received a number of awards including the Lieben Prize in 2010.
